Eligibility
- Who qualifies — all three must hold: Resident of Canada, and registered/eligible under a provincial or territorial health insurance plan, and one of: a First Nations person registered under the Indian Act ("status"), on or off reserve; an Inuk recognized by an Inuit land claim organization — Nunavut Tunngavik Inc.
How to apply

- (NTI), Inuvialuit Regional Corporation (IRC), or Makivik Corporation (an Inuk living outside the settlement area needs a letter of recognition plus birth certificate); a child under 2 whose parent is an eligible NIHB client
- Not covered if a separate self-government agreement applies (e.g., Nisga'a, Nunatsiavut).
