- The City's low-income recreation subsidy gives eligible residents a two-year membership (valid from approval date, not calendar year) with these benefits: Unlimited free drop-in at Crystal Pool and Fitness Centre and unlimited public skating at Save-On-Foods Memorial Arena
- 52 free drop-in visits per year at participating regional municipal recreation partners.
How to apply
- Eligibility: City of Victoria residents with a fixed address (lived there 30+ days), household income at or below the Statistics Canada low-income threshold — $29,640 (1 person), $38,493 (2), $47,145 (3), $55,076 (4), $62,464 (5), $70,451 (6), $78,436 (7)
- Proof is the CRA Notice of Assessment (line 15000) for everyone 19+ in the household; an adjudicator form exists for those who cannot provide an NOA or proof of residency
- Post-secondary students are not eligible
- Residents of other Greater Victoria municipalities must apply to their own municipality's equivalent program.
