- Eligibility: age 65+, average hearing loss of 50 dB or greater across 500/1000/2000/3000 Hz, income and asset verification (asset exemption $100,000; RRSPs, property, savings etc. count; RDSPs exempt).
How to apply
- Covers cost-effective hearing aids to a maximum rebate of $6,000 per person, once every 5 years (max $3,000 per aid)
- Eligibility: age 65+, average hearing loss of 50 dB or greater across 500/1000/2000/3000 Hz, income and asset verification (asset exemption $100,000; RRSPs, property, savings etc. count; RDSPs exempt)
- Full cost is covered for incomes at or below the Market Basket Measure ($22,253 single / $31,470 couple); above that a sliding scale applies, with eligibility up to $100,000 income.
