Eligibility
- A single application assesses applicants for both the Ride Transit transit subsidy and the Leisure Access recreation subsidy
- Income screens use CRA Low-Income Cut-Off (LICO) figures: Household income at or below LICO + 10% → $36/month Arc card (adult or youth); income between LICO +10% and +25% → $51/month Arc card (rates effective February 1, 2025).
How to apply
- A single application assesses applicants for both the Ride Transit transit subsidy and the Leisure Access recreation subsidy
- Income screens use CRA Low-Income Cut-Off (LICO) figures: Household income at or below LICO + 10% → $36/month Arc card (adult or youth); income between LICO +10% and +25% → $51/month Arc card (rates effective February 1, 2025)
- You also qualify at the $36 tier if someone in the household receives Alberta Income Support or Foundational Learning Assistance; you or your spouse receive AISH; someone receives the CPP Disability Benefit; you became a new Permanent Resident or approved Refugee within the last year; or a child under government care (17 and under).
