Eligibility
- SPARC BC has administered BC's Parking Permit Program for People with Disabilities since 1984; valid in every BC community, across Canada, and in the US, Japan, South Korea, Australia, NZ and EMCT countries.
How to apply
- Fee: $31 processing fee per permit (hardship waiver available on request — the fee is the program's only funding)
- Permit types: Permanent — 3 years, renewable (renewal form mailed 1 month before expiry; renew from 5 weeks before expiry online/phone/mail/in person); Temporary — 1–12 months, not renewable (must reapply with new medical assessment); Conditional — 3 years, not renewable
- Eligibility (physician referral with valid MSP number): cannot walk without assistance/mobility aid; cannot walk 100 m without risk to health; disability affecting mobility/walking; or blind, Deaf, or where safety is a factor.
