What you need to qualify or apply
Eligibility
- Seniors Home Repair Program (60+): up to $4,000 for essential repairs — roof, windows, doors, furnace, plumbing, electrical, structural/life-safety
- Seniors Safe @ Home Program (60+): up to $10,000 for accessibility modifications (grab bars, ramps, showers) needed to keep living at home; funding based on the senior's (or couple's) income only; portable devices not eligible.
How to apply
- One application to the PEI Home Renovation Programs automatically assesses seniors for both: Both share the PEI HRP eligibility: PEI health card, combined income ≤ $50,000 (all household members 18+ counted), owner or life-interest in the principal residence; the $300,000 property-value cap does not apply to Safe @ Home
- Grant amounts step down through income tiers ($35,000 → $50,000), and after reaching the maximum you must wait 15 years to reapply
