What you need to qualify or apply
Eligibility
- Eligibility: apply at 16, services begin at 18; developmental disability originating before age 18 (not the same as physical disability, health condition, or mental-health disorder); reside in Alberta and receive services there; Canadian citizen/permanent resident
- Requires psychological assessment (Psychoeducational/Neuropsychological) by a registered psychologist showing IQ of 70 or lower plus significant limitations in adaptive functioning (per PDD Regulation criteria).
